Shimano L04C-MF

The Shimano L04C-MF Metallic Disc Brake Pads with Fins are designed to deliver long lasting brake performance. These brake pads feature aluminum radiator fins to draw heat away from the brake pads. Shimano ICE technology prevents brake fade over long descents and heavy use. For riders living in wet and muddy climates, Shimano’s metallic pad compound provides excellent stopping power in wet conditions.

Each set includes two pads and pad spring.

Metallic vs. Resin Pad Compound

Shimano offers metallic and resin brake pad compounds for their brake pads. Their metallic compound has metallic particles fused together that allows them to be more powerful and perform in a greater amount of weather conditions. Resin brake pads however are quieter and offer better brake modulation. We recommend considering your riding style and environment when deciding which brake pad compound is best for you. If you live somewhere like the Pacific Northwest and ride long descents, we recommend the metallic compound. If you live in a drier climate and have rolling terrain, we recommend the resin compound.
